I have been so busy that I just haven't had time to keep you up to date. My life has been one big whirlwind and even I struggle to keep up at times.
Well the first thing to report is that we've moved to a new house by the water. It's lovely and I am having great fun chasing squirrels and barking at the deer who dare to come close to the house. We all moved, because my 'mum' got a new job so it gave me a chance to assert my authority amongst the others.
It's been a bit of a challenge this growing up. I mean, Meg and Skye - they just don't understand me. Don't they remember what it was like to be young and energetic, eager to see the world. When I want to play they want to sleep. It's just not fair. And then when I'm sleeping Meg creeps up and pokes her nose in my face. What's that all about????? Has she never heard the expression 'let sleeping dogs lie'?
I've been feeling a bit out of sorts this past week or so though. I'm told it's all part of growing up, but I don't want to grow up, I so enjoy being young and impetuous (and tormenting the life out of my nrother and sister too, hee, hee, hee). If I'm to be grown up I'll be expected to behave better and that's no fun is it?
Anyway, I better go and see what can get up to now. Well, you've got to keep those humans on their toes don't you...

Hi Folks, it's been a while since I last made an update but life has been very hectic don't you know. There's been comings and goings all week - mostly with people who want to see me! I'm so precious aren't I? Anyway, it hasn't helped my insides much for I'm still having a few epsiodes of the 'you know what's' and it ain't pretty let me tell you. I suppose the swig of beer I tried to get didn't help, but then I'm young aren't I and you've just got to try everything. My mum wasn't too chuffed though and took the bottle off me, even though it was already empty. Boy was I done! Truth is, it was empty when I got it. Here was me thinking I'd managed to swipe this great thing only to discover it wasn't so great after all. So much for my so called new friends though... they all laughed at me! Well, I showed them... another little present was left for them and not one they particularly wanted either...!
Well, they tell me that this is a new year. That was quick - 7 weeks eh? At this rate I'll soon be all grown up. What's that? A year is actually 52 weeks? Blimey, I missed a fair bit of the last one then didn't I?
what exciting thiongs are in store me little ole me I wonder? Another trip to the vet tomorrow apparently - oh joys... NOT! Better get some beauty sleep then for I'll be needing all my energy tomorrow to keep out of Mum's clutches. Be seein' y'all later!

All in a day's (or night's) work!
Did I or did I not tell you that I had no intentions of spending another night in that awful crate thing? Hardihardihar... well who spent the best part of the night in a lovely soft and cosy bed snuggled up to my new Mum? You guessed it, moi! I knew she'd cave in, all I had to do was lay the tears on thick and after last night's messy bed she felt so guilty she melted like snaw aff a dyke! It was soooo easy... yaas... I am the coolest pup on the block.
Actually, I didn't spend the whole night up there though. She only went and put me back in my own bed once I had fallen asleep. Now that's just plain mean trickery! One minute I'm sound asleep with my wee head snuggled into her neck, giving it the old zzz's (as you do) and the next thing I know is I've woken up in that crate on my lonesome! I ask you???
Ach well, you win some, you lose some. Round one to me though don't ya think? Heh, heh, heh...

You know what they say about best laid plans - well, mine didn't quite work out last night. I was so sure I could convince her that I shouldn't be sleeping in a crate too. I howled and howled and better than howled but to no avail. I put on my best and most pitiful whining too, but nothing worked. She just left me there, either that or she's a really sound sleeper, but I don't think so. I think she was hoping that I'd tire and give up. Huh? How wrong was she?
And how convenient was that diarhoea? Actually, it wasn't much fun for I messed up big time, and the smell was so bad even I couldn't stand it. Still, it made her upstairs feel ultra guilty this morning and boy did I milk it.
She took me out in the car later to this strange looking building that smelled really weird and not in a good way either... This man in a white jacket started poking and prodding at me - the cheek of it. I decided the best approach was to remain aloof and above it all. It wasn't too bad an experience as it turns out. He gave me some pasty stuff to take to try and fix my upset tummy so I guess I should be grateful. Mind you, he also said to give me a wee bit less food today to give my tummy a rest. Well seen he wasn't hungry! This was not good news. What was good news though was that he said I was a very healthy puppy otherwise and had a lovely temperament and character. Well, I'd have thought that was obvious but you know what these humans are like - have something to say about everything. How often do I have to tell them, I'm a princess... A PRINCESS!!! Treat me like one and you'll see the charming side of my personality regularly!

Oh what a night!
Well, that was the night that was!
Would you believe it, after a lovely afternoon settling in and getting to know the lie of the land, she put me in a crate and left me there for the night!!! I was not impressed! Mind you, I was really tired and fell asleep quite quickly, and to be fair to her, when I woke up during the night desperate to do my business (if you know what I mean) she did get up and take me out. Oh, and she gave me a nice big cuddle before putting me back in the crate. Hmmph! I hope she doesn't think this is going to be a permanent arrangement though. Doesn't she realise that I was born to be treated like a princess? A crate, I ask you? Well, we'll see about that!
Haven't had such a great day today though. I've got a bit of an upset tummy but I'm not going to let it spoil my fun, or my food. I do like eating!
Wow, did I tell you I'd been outside? It was a bit scarey at first, but Meg and Skye ran out so happily that I thought, hey Ruby, this could be an adventure, and off I trotted after them. They were a bit too fast for me though. I tried to catch up but they were too fast and I lost them. Luckily the nice lady kept an eye on me and showed me the way back indoors. I think I might forgive her for putting me in that crate last night after all. I'm not sleeping there tonight though - no sireee....

Let me introduce myself...
Let me introduce myself. My name is Ruby and I am just 7 weeks old. I was chosen by this lovely lady to come and live in her home. She tells me that she's going to be my new Mum. Funny that though for she doesn't look anything like my real Mum. Hmmm...? So far I'm having a great time. I have two playmates - a lively gold and white dog called Meg who looks a bit like me and she is my half sister - we have the same Dad apparently. She is very friendly and looks after me - a bit like a great protector. My other playmate is big and black and also looks a bit like me. He is called Skye and is not quite so friendly. He doesn't like sharing his toys with me, but I know that in the end, my charm and good looks will win him over. I'm just so cute and adorable you see...
So far I've had lots of fun but it is so tiring and I need lots of sleeps. I think I'm going to like my new home though. There's so much to see and do and play with. Check back in tomorrow and I'll let you know how my first night has gone.
